Kuiil and IG-11 coming to Galaxy of Heroes!
It’s been confirmed that Kuiil and IG-11 are coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. We're happy to bring you exclusive information about these characters and Galactic Challenges.
One of the first questions asked when a new character's announced is "how can I get this character?" Well, Kuiil and IG-11 won't be released as a marquee, instead you will be able to get their shards through the new Galactic Challenge events running all of November.
SWGOH Events, Galactic War Report, and Operation Metaverse sat down with Capital Games to talk about these new characters, The Mandalorian, and Galactic Challenges. Below are some highlights from the roundtable discussion:
- Kuiil and IG-11 will be released through the Galactic Challenges events on Nevarro
- Completing tiers 1-3 of a Galactic Challenge will grant shards for a character
- No Feats will reward shards
- Character shards will be split between two Galactic Challenge events. Once you complete both, you should have about 60 shards in total.
- The schedule will be:
- Kuiil: 11/6 - 11/8 - Droids vs Empire
- Kuiil: 11/13 - 11/15 - Droids vs Empire
- IG-11: 11/20 - 11/22 - Bounty Hunter vs Scoundrel
- IG-11: 11/27 - 11/29 - Bounty Hunter vs Scoundrel
- Since the GC’s are running every weekend and you get 30 shards per event, you'll have to wait a week for 3 stars (without buying packs)
- After the GC events are over, the character shards will be available in some sort of cadence similar to a marquee. It was said the release cadence for these characters may be accelerated.
- Galactic Challenges character releases aren't completely replacing marquees
- What's coming next? If you've seen the show, follow the show's arc
- The Child likely won’t be coming to the game as a standalone character (at least not any time soon)
